Mission Statement


The Colorado Novas is a competitive synchronized swim team for swimmers ages 8-18, a member of U.S. Synchronized Swimming (USSS), and a non-profit organization. The Colorado Novas was started in 1984 and was named after a figure (Nova) in the rulebook. The team resides in Colorado Springs, CO.

The Colorado Novas strive to compete locally, regionally and nationally. The goal of the team is to promote the health and growth of its athletes through participation in team training and competition. Each team member is expected to learn and practice swim techniques, teamwork, responsibility and sportsmanship in an environment of dedicated effort and fun.
